VTalk with Bruce Norris (OG 1997P)

Recently we had the pleasure of hosting an Old Georgian Union Virtual Talk with Bruce Norris (OG 1997P). Bruce joined us

from Hamburg, Germany and share his journey of career and reminisced about is time at St George's Grammar School.

A huge thank you to Bruce for accepting the invitation to come on the OGU YouTube Channel. It was a wonderful engaging chat with a guest appearance with Mr Lategan (Afrikaans teacher), who many will remember.

"Works in progress"

"A notorious dilletante, Bruce matriculated in 1997 and went on to study psychology, English literature, computer science, drama, etymology, philosophy, and graphic design, all the while playing in a variety of local goth and metal bands. He lived in Johannesburg for ten years after graduating and never once got mugged (although he did get his heart broken several times, and his ribs once). He returned to Cape Town in 2011 and co-founded a boutique digital agency where he served as Director of Development before going on to lead the digital applications team at Pick n Pay. Bruce has moonlighted as a writer for John Brown Media, holds a 4th degree black belt in Haidong Gumdo, and once got heatstroke riding the Argus dressed as Batman. He currently lives in Hamburg with his wife and three ducks, and is an advocate of the Oxford comma."
