Visits to the OG Office in 2019


Amanda Rybicka (OG 2013) is starting to make waves in the art world. Amanda runs OBviorZly ART which provides local artists in Cape Town the opportunity to exhibit. Through the Creative Change Laboratory she uses art to focus on the rape crisis in South Africa.


Brandon Reynolds (OG 2016) visited his old school to pop in to say hi to a few of his old teachers. Brandon is the CEO of Inner Circle Concepts (@inner_circle_concepts) a company that works with brands, campaigns and celebrity to create content, concepts and conversations. He is also the co-founder of Jiyane Atelier (@jiyane_atelier) a luxury furniture creator he founded with DJ Zinhle.


Kerryn Pitt (OG 1994) came to spend time at the OG Union Office and share her story and interesting journey that has taken her all over the country. Kerryn has speaking engagements across South Africa where she shares her story and knowledge. Kerryn also spoke to the High School pupils at the Georgian Lecture on St George’s Day and then shared her experience with fellow OGs at the OG Talks.


Joshua du Plessis (OG 2011) took a break from surfing out in Muizenberg to pay the OG Union Office a visit. Joshua is involved in a wide range of disciplines from yoga, to Djing, to surf instructor. His journey to this point was shared at on the SGGS stage at the OG Talks.


Tiffani Jones (OG 2015) recently popped into the OG Union Office to see how she can get involved with the OG Union. Many ideas were shared and it is so encouraging to have the interest of the younger OGs. Tiffani is presently in her final year of Law at UCT and will be doing a Masters in Environmental Law in 2020


Paige Martin (OG 2015) dropped by the OG Union Office in early May. It was great to catch up and hear the developments in her life. Paige recently graduated from the Beauty Therapist Institute Upper East Side and is starting up her own beauty therapy business.


Lihle Manana (OG 1990) was in Cape Town for the 20th Jazz Festival and made time to visit his old school before his flight back to Johanesburg. Lihle is a director of his own company and regularly travels between Cape Town and Johanesburg. It was great to take hLihle of a short tour of the school. He is still in contact with some of his fellow class mates and we look forward to arranging a reunion for the class of 1990 in the near future.


Michelle Basson (OG 2004) recently paid the OG Union Office a visit and spent some time sharing her story. She is looking into getting involved with the OGU. Michelle has a background in events and marketing and using the knowledge and experience she has gained, she has branched out on her own to start a social media marketing company (#HashtagSocial)
