OGU Membership Fee

The Old Georgian Union has for many years relied on funding from the school for its functions, events and communication. A small amount comes from donations and the minimal cover charges at events.

As much as the donations and ongoing support is greatly appreciated from both the school and individuals, we as Old Georgians and the greater Georgian community have the power to give back in a much greater and meaningful way.

To continue the ongoing activities and work of the OG Union, an Old Georgian Union Trust/Fund has been established with the aim of taking the financial pressure off the School.

Our needs are modest. From October 1st 2022 the OGU will be launching a voluntary membership fee of R365 per year to support the ongoing work of the OGU and to take the financial strain off the school.

By becoming an OGU paid member, benefactor or by making a donation, you are ensuring the ongoing work of the OGU.

OGU benefactor's programme

There are some individuals who can and do contribute greater financial support.

We have therefore initiated an OGU benefactor's programme.

Contributions can be made in the following categories:-

Bronze - Membership paid (R365 per annum)

Silver - R500 - R2999 per annum

Gold - R3000 - R4999 per annum

Platinum - R5000 and above per annum

All donations are eligible for a Section 18A certificate.
