Damien Scott (OG 2000T)
We congratulate Damien Scott (OG 2000T) and his team at Marain, his company was recently acquired by BrightDrop, the technology company from GM (General Motors) that's decarbonising last-mile delivery.
Damien born in Australia and grow up in Botswana, joining the SGGS family in 1996 (Std 6/Grade 8) as a boarder, Matriculating in 2000.
He went on to study at the University of Sydney, achieving a B.Sc (Advanced) Hons, Physics/Grade: First Class before going to further his studies at Stanford University, getting his Master of Science (MS) and then Stanford University Graduate School of Business achieving a Masters of Business Administration (MBA).
Before moving full-time in to the company he founded Marain in 2018, Damien had co-founded OneLeap, a Business Consulting company in London and working for Williams Racing in the UK before going on to Renovo.auto.
Damien's company merger with BrightDrop has moved him into the position of Director, EV Product Strategy.
Well done to Damien on his achievements and we look forward to him continuing his clime.
Over the years Damien has been a sort after panelist speaker in the auto motive AI world appearing on podcast (Finding Genius) and the CoMotion Conference.
